The Role
Teach For America-Mississippi is looking for a Specialist, Regional Operations to play an important role in helping our regional team reach their ambitious goals and ensuring that we operate effectively and efficiently. The Specialist, Regional Operations provides critical direction and support with the regional budget, office facilities, staff resources and regional events. This position will report directly to the Chief of Staff, and as part of the Regional Operations team, will work in close partnership with the Specialist, Office of the Executive Director.
The Team
Teach For America has been partnering with communities in Mississippi since 1991. Today, nearly 350 corps members and more than 150 alumni live in the area, and our annual support has grown to $10 million. Our long history in this region has allowed us to build strong and lasting partnerships with local communities, schools, donors and gain the support of state government. Corps members are both warmly welcomed by and work closely with the communities that surround their schools and also will discover a most challenging educational and social environment. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
