Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Job Purpose - Reporting to the Director of Behavioral Health Services, the Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) will diagnose and treat mental, behavioral and emotional disorders, in accordance with policies and protocols established by NHSI standards of practice. The LCSW will help clients solve and cope with problems in their everyday lives by providing psychological counseling and therapy and also using other available resources within the community.
General Duties & Responsibilities - The LCSW will provide individual, group and family therapy; work with clients to develop strategies to change behavior or cope with difficult situations; and refer clients to other resources or services. Working with the client, doctor and other healthcare professionals, the LCSW will develop treatment plans for clients and adjust the plans when necessary, based on client progress.
Minimum Requirements - Minimum qualifications for this position are a Master's degree in social work or related field and License as a Clinical Social Worker, along with two years of related experience. Experience in an ambulatory health setting is preferred.
Specific Duties include -
Identify people in need of help
Assess clients' needs, situations, strengths and support networks to determine their goals. Coordinate with clinical, health education, community health and other staff members in the provision of services to clients.
Help clients adjust to changes and challenges in their lives.
Research, refer and advocate for community resources to assist and improve a client's well-being.
Respond to crisis situations such as mental health emergencies.
Maintain caseload, documentation and reevaluate clients at appropriate levels.
Evaluate services provided to ensure that they are effective.
Facilitate education and support groups, including conducting health related educational presentations in both school and clinical settings.
Provide community service information as an outreach worker as required.
Other duties as assigned.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
